Yesterday a colleague informed that CNN has reported that a team of archaeologists have identified the remains of the boyhood home of George Washington, who commanded the Continental Army against the British Crown and who then served as our nation's first president. Read the full article here.If true, this is an exciting discovery. I hope it's not just hype as was the reported bust of Caesar from Arles.
I would be interesed in hearing some thoughts as to the validity of the identification of the home, especially from any New World archaeologists or historians who happen upon this post.
